Today of course is Canada Day! It is a tradition in our ward to hold a Canada Day Breakfast. The primary was having a parade again this year so the boys had spent the last couple of days getting their floats ready. Ashton was perhaps a bit too ambitious and he and Jason were up until 11:30 p.m. getting his entry ready. Ashton went to bed and Jason stayed up until 2:00 a.m. finishing up. A few last minute touches were needed this morning.
The breakfast was very yummy - pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages. It felt very strange to not be in charge of the activities for the kids. The boys had a great time. They got their faces painted by the YW.
Having fun with their friend Ashley!
The kids were all excited for the parade. Due to the size of the floats they had made the boys decided to just walk it rather than try and ride their bikes.
It was a fun morning! Happy Canada Day!!
WOW, WHAT GREAT FLOATS THE BOYS DID. JASON'S TALENT AMAZES ME. HIS BOYS ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH A TALENTED DAD AND OF COURSE MOM.
ReplyDeleteDIDN'T SEEM LIKE CANADA DAY HERE IN PHOENIX, BUT I ENJOYED THE WARM POOL, AND SHOPPING TODAY.
Great floats. Looks like a great start to the day. How fun.
