Our Little Miss is Three!!

Last week we celebrated our sweet litttle girl's birthday.  Friday, April 7th was Cadence's 3rd Birthday.  I can't believe that she is 3 already, but in so many ways she seems so much older than 3.

April 7th - 3 Years Old
Weight - 33.5 pounds
Height - not sure exactly, she's tall
Clothing Size - 4T or 5T
Shoe Size - 8
Has a huge vocabulary/and comprehension.  I don't think there is anything she can't say.
Toilet trained - for 2/3 months
Loves to eat
Enjoys playing with her brothers and her friend Adam
Favorite shows - Elena of Avalor, Tangled, Max & Ruby, Dora the Explorer
Favorite movies - Life of Pets, Sing, Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Is fiercely independent
Loves to pretend to be a ballerina, wear her fairy wings and dress up in her jewelery
Must watch "one show" each night before bed

Friday morning Cadence woke up to lots of balloons.  She was so excited it was her birthday.

Once we got the boys off to school I told Cadence about her surprise.  Nani, Aunt Rachel and Freya were coming to our house and we were going to go to the ballet together.  The same dance company that did the ballet for toddlers at Christmas were putting on another production called "Once Upon a Season".  Cadence got all ready in her new birthday dress.

Once our surprise guests arrived we headed to the ballet.  They had crafts in the lobby while we waited for the doors of the theatre to open.  She loves the crafts as much as she does watching the ballet.

Then it was time for the ballet.  It was a cute show.  They danced and acted out all the different seasons.  Cadence and Freya both seemed to really love it.

After the show they invite the kids on stage to practise movements.  Cadence was excited to go on stage but then of course was too shy to participate.  Maybe next time.

Love these two!!

After the ballet we went out for a birthday lunch then back to the house to open birthday presents from Auntie, Freya and Nani.

Once Daddy and brothers were home it was time to open more presents.

"Mommy can you get this dress off of me so I can ride my bike"

Then it was time for her favorite supper of Kraft dinner and hotdogs.

Cadence had requested a chocolate cake with pink icing.

We are so blessed to have this sweet little girl in our family.  We just love her to bits!
Happy Birthday Cadence!!

Three Great Guys!

It's Birthday season at the Atwood house.  Jason's birthday was in January.  We celebrated with dinner and cake with the kids.

Jason is not a big fan of cake (well really he's not a fan of icing), so he requested a cheesecake.  After dinner I surprised Jason with tickets for the two of us to STOMP.  It was an awesome show.

Next birthday is Bowen's in February.  Bowen invited a friend over after school to celebrate with him. We made homemade pizza and the boys spent hours playing video games.  Bowen was in heaven.

His actual birthday was on Sunday.  Jason had been away on a business trip and arrived home just in time for dinner and opening presents.

Can't believe my boy is 11 years old.  He is such a great kid.  He's funny, smart and very passionate about things he loves.  I'm proud of the young man he's becoming.

Ashton's birthday is in March. Ashton requested dinner at the Cheesecake Cafe.  Every year he is convinced that it will be the year he can eat an entire piece of cheesecake.  He was especially sure this year since he is now a teenager!

Nope - the cheesecake won again!!

I can't believe we have a teenager in the house.  Ashton is a great example to his younger siblings.  He's very responsible, creative and fun.  Proud of the young man he's becoming.

I'm so lucky to have all three men in my life.  I am so blessed.  Jason is such a wonderful example to his sons and I hope they continue to follow in his footsteps.

Happy Birthday to three great guys!!
